Who are you? Do you just sell cheese? Are you a division of H&B Foods?
We are asked these questions regularly and hope that we can answer them for you so that you're assured that we are not a 'new kid on the block' but a business that has been around a long time and really knows about good food...
A few names that are remembered in the cheese business - Harvey and Brockless, Huge Cheese Company, H&B, David South and Cheese Cellar. We are, or were, all of these - we have kept the best bits and the philosophy that has run through them all - to provide top quality food to all of our customers all of the time. We have evolved as a business and we cannot hide this, as our extensive product range clearly shows. The customers that we work with have grown in number, to include independent specialist retailers, independent restaurants, hotel groups, sandwich manufacturers, airlines and many more. We know that growth in size can sometimes concern customers as they feel that the products are not so carefully selected and the service levels are not so high. We are fully aware of the dangers and so have made sure we are different - we have strived to manage our growth to ensure that you have all of the positives and none of the negatives.
Our history is very important to us as customers bought from each business for a reason. They wanted an excellent product, top-notch service and an approachable personality behind the business and these requirements have not changed. We are constantly building on the history of Cheese Cellar to take us forward - your feedback is always valued as we need our customers to help us to keep improving.
