What We Are Up To
Lots - all of the time! Sometimes we are not even sure what everyone is doing as there is so much going on. We sit down and share how different events, trips, farm visits, tastings and shows have gone for us and review the customer feedback, so that we can learn for next time.
Shows/ Exhibitions:
You will find us at many major and regional food shows providing customers with a chance to have a chat, see and taste our product range in one place and understand what we can offer and do for you.

Tastings:
We regularly carry out tastings all over the country for our customers - with chefs, in restaurants, cafes, farm shops and delicatessens. We can support customers by training their staff on specific products or be the 'star turn' at a customer event, sharing our knowledge with your customers.

Chef Demonstrations:
We are very fortunate to have the expertise of consultant chefs to share with our customers. We source the products but then feel that we need to add to this with ideas on how to use them in cooking. Our chefs develop recipes and also give their time to us to carry out demonstrations to our customer chefs.

Farm Visits:
We like to be able to take our customers to meet our suppliers. This really helps to support what we say about the products that we sell. We arrange for farm visits to cheesemakers to see the cheese being made and to meet the producers as they tell their story better than anyone.

Special Events and Trips:
Due to our strong supplier relationships we sometimes have opportunities to take chefs and/ or retailers on interesting visits to special events. So far in 2011 we have taken WRITE ABOUT VALRHONA TRIP HERE.

Sourcing Our Products:
This is why we like our job! We visit producers, farmers and shows all over the world to make sure we bring you the best. It sounds like great fun and most of it is; at the same time we take it very seriously. We need to consistently bring you fabulous products and must continually review our range to make sure that what was once the best, still is. We research new products personally and do not just add them into our range without this detailed research and tasting.
